Roberto's just the start.
It's taken ages to find competition for McKnight.
In ten years' time, we'll have a whole new worst-ever Hammers team.
Unless something changes at the top.

Grumps His first touch was off his bollocks His second was accidental as he hit the foetal position after he got hit in the bollocks.
I might be stretching it a bit there but I felt he was very over rated.

Seem to remember Sandy Clarke scoring in wins over Man.Utd and Liverpool.
The strikers list is endless, has anyone mentioned Paolo Alves. Remember being at Pride Park and the Derby fans laying into him thinking he was Paul Kitson.

Keeper Roberto needs another month or two before he gets in ahead of mcknight
McKnight
Back line Struggling with picking once quality players who were well past it when they came to us (arbeloa / evra) or honest triers who just were not very good (eg Hilton/ strodder) but am settling on a 3 of ;
Hilton Breen Dailly
Midfield Looking for 5 here inc two wide. Boa Morte and robbie Slater can take the wide roles Centrally - quashie and Mitchell Thomas for certain. I wasnt as hung up on kovac as others so the third more advanced spot goes to Steve whitton.
Front two. Fuck me where do you start. We could play 1 1 8 and still leave neil mellor on the bench. Someone mentioned sandy clarke earlier. A fine shout but I'm looking for a gap between expectations and delivery.
So Zaza and Mike Newell can go up top.
In short - we might be 17th right now but you young uns haven't seen anything like the dross some of us have.

Remember gold or Sullivan boasting that they were only paying mido1000 quid a week, he was so 'motivated to come'.
That worked out well.
At least they learn from their mistakes though.

In my time...
Ilic Minto Charles Foxe Margas Kovac Diarra Savio Dyer Camara Mido
Can't believe no one has picked Minto yet, although Wayne Quinn gets off very lightly by missing out. Can't be too many other players who have gone straight from playing for us, albeit in the Championship, to non league. Don't think he was even that old. Andy Impey deserves a dishonourable mention too now I think about it. And Labant. Left backs, eh?
Boogers somehow gets away with it probably purely because the memory of Mido is more recent, as is THAT penalty against Everton.
How Mike Newell isn't even in the 'top' three of our worst strikers for the last 25 years or so is quite incredible. Ditto Zaza, McCarthy, Steve Jones (which may be oddly controversial), and Davor fucking Suker.
I really wanted to include Scott Mean, too.

Gary Breen's individual performance in the 6-0 hammering against Man Utd in the FA Cup was one of the worst I've ever witnessed.

Left back has to be Wayne Quinn and that Ginger Yank dubbed the next Rio by Twitchy has to partner Breen at the back

You could make an entire league of teams out of the shit players we've had over the years, we've had so many. These current PRICKS would still manage to lose against all of them too.

Re: Worst Hammers 11

Surely the number 5 centre half must go to TOMMY TAYLOR, anyone who can stand on the opponents goal line and not only put the ball over the bar but over the North bank roof and out of the ground has to be up there somewhere in the top one
